The story of Angel & Mark describes a beautiful testimony proving the evidence of God’s love in the midst of confusion, depression, hopelessness, and family turmoil. Their story provides hope that God cares, loves, and pays close attention to those who love, seek, and honor Adonai. It is a reminder to this special couple that Adonai has the power to turn around destruction and suffering into happiness & joy.

Yeshua looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)

It all began months before a camping trip at Fountain Run, Kentucky, when both Mark & Angel were going through the very difficult and painful divorce process. In Angel’s side of the story, God told her that He would give her a man who loved Torah, Elijah (her son), and her. God reminded her of His promises almost every 2 weeks despite her waves of doubt. At the time, Angel kept trying to pray for the restoration of her marriage, hoping that God would move her husband’s heart to cancel his decision to divorce her. It was not in her mind that His promises would have been fulfilled sooner than she expected. In Mark’s side of the story, he was seeking God through fellowship with believers. He listened to Damien Eisner, a messianic rabbi, who preached about the beauty of Torah every Shabbat, hoping that his wife would one day join him on these spiritual walks. Mark kept praying for his wife, hoping that his wife would come back to him and that God would restore his marriage. It was not in his mind that God had a plan and a future outcome different from what Mark expected.

Right before the camping trip, Jeannine told her she had a feeling that Angel would meet the person chosen by God. Despite Angel’s doubts, she unintentionally reiterated the words, “If I meet the man God chooses, then he needs to be the first person who comes to me”. As soon as Angel and her family landed at the airport in Kentucky after trying to find the camping group, Mark Gildez walked over to introduce himself to her and her family.

From being friends to best friends, then courting to partners who can’t live apart from each other, Mark and Angel dedicated their story to God, the Author of this wonderful miracle. Their story is an unexpected gift with many more adventures to come and plans to accomplish in Father YHWH.
